Long Delays Possible

Margate

Someone told me that Margate was like east London with a beach. At that time I was living in north east London, and I quite liked it. A bit rough around the edges, depending on what areas you visited. My office is in East London, and in East London I’ve had quite lot of more fun than in West London (where I also lived for a few years).

As usual, this was a other visit to a beach place at the wrong time, one day the weather was awful, with almost horizontal rain. I quite look forward to go back in Summer and enjoy the tide pools.

I liked the vibe of the place. Quirky eateries, coffee shops (one in an actual bus), a contemporary art gallery with views to the sea (with an Antony Gormley statue staring at it). Even a cave made of shells. It really felt like home (the one in East London).
