    Missing winter?

These days are hot here in UK. In a way, its different to what I’m used to in Madrid, where the weather is less humid. With just above 20ºC there is a quite summery sensation. More if it is a sunny day. Reach 30ºC and they call it heat wave. Ha!, in Madrid we usually […]

  • Weekly Photo Challenge: Contrast.

    Weekly Photo Challenge: Contrast.

An old windmill in Wicken Fen, a National Trust natural park close to Cambridge. I like the contrast between the white and black wood. Sometimes a picture just asks for a black and white processing, I think. There are a lot of windmills around here it seems.

  • A tree in the flats.

    A tree in the flats.

This was weird. I was driving to the Bonneville salt flats when I saw this. It looks like a tree. Or an antenna. In the middle of the flats with nothing else around. I wasn’t in a hurry so I immediately stopped the car and went to see it more clearly.  I took some pictures and continued our trip.…

  • Salt flats

    Salt flats

Just one of the pictures I took the last week in Utah. This place is very much known because of the car speed tests. I imagine they only do them in summer, when the thin layer of water disappears. Now, it looks more like a mirror with crusts of salt on it. I really liked…

These are the remaining pictures I had from Wells next the Sea. I like how this series of black and white pictures look. I may post a gallery of all of them in my portfolio pages. I won’t be able to post very often in the next two weeks. I’m out in a work related…

    low tide (3)

Sorry for the lack of updates in the past week, I’ve been quite busy visiting Peak District, a national park in UK. I arrived home just yesterday with a bunch of pictures I need to edit and process. I will post the best ones here soon. In the meantime here is a couple more black and white…

  • Low tide (2).

    Low tide (2).

A few more pictures from Wells next the Sea. I liked black and white for these. It might be that I’ve looked at lots of black and white photography lately and wanted to try something. The dune in the second picture is one of the two chunks left from the one shown in my earlier…

  • Low tide

    Low tide

Taken in Wells next the Sea, Norfolk. Low tides in this beach are amazing. The sea recedes hundreds of meters. Last December weather in this area was awful. Storms and tidal surges destroyed the coast line and a quite a few resorts were affected. Someone from that place that I meet walking on the beach told…

    Weekly Photo Challenge: Window

My entry for this week photo challenge. Cold outside, warm inside. Taken a few years ago, in a coffee in Cambridge. It was freezing outside. The frost in the window is the proof. Also the snow in the cars and the road. I tried several processes with this one, and this high contrast black and…
