Orford Ness (3)

Some years after my first visit to Orford Ness, I decided to go with my daughter to this enigmatic place. I noticed a few changes, the most important one is that the lighthouse was dismantled in 2020. I remember walking near it in the shingles beach. Also there were some refurbishment works being done to the black beacon. The eerie feeling of a barren landscape and decaying man made buildings was still there. Here is set of pictures from this visit. This time I used a telephoto zoom lens to try to get more compressed perspectives of the decaying structures. About the color, I like the muted result I got here. I struggled deciding if going for black and white, but somehow, I ended halfway between. Let me know if you’d like to have a print of any of these pictures 😉
